Tried and tested TikTok beauty trends
Whether you are familiar with TikTok trends or not, there is something out there for everyone’s (makeup) palette.
Here are just a few of the best tried and tested TikTok beauty trends making the rounds:
Wednesday Addams
The Netflix series caused a bit of a cultural boom upon its release, not just because of the viral Goo Goo Muck dance but also Wednesday’s signature gothic style.
Dark, moody makeup vibes started cropping up all over the app, as well as DIY versions of the hairstyles and outfits from the show.
Our UK neighbours at Glamour go into more detail about the Wednesday Addams craze.
Horror and SFX
Intricate SFX and character makeup has become a large part of the TikTok beauty boom, with these impressive and creative looks coming to the forefront of feeds across the world.
Often inspired by pop culture horror characters, zodiac signs and twisted Disney princesses, each look is entirely unique depending on the artist. Some looks use more gore and prosthetics, whilst others are more glam than grave. These creative and often hyper-realistic looks reach to a whole other level on the beauty ladder.
Euphoria
Yet another television series that took the TikTok beauty community by storm. This moody, dreamy series heavily inspired a wealth of beauty looks across the platform, with glittery eyes, graphic liner and bright, intricate eyeshadow looks reigning supreme.
Siren eyes vs doe eyes
These looks are the epitome of vibe. Siren eyes took hold with their sleek liner, smokey shadows and striking, elongating effect, whilst doe eyes are all about creating a wide-eyed, youthful look.
Both styles have the power to completely change a makeup look – whether you want a more sultry vibe or bambi eyes, this is a super fun trend to give you the best of both worlds when it comes to creating new makeup looks.
Clean look
One of the most popular internet beauty trends of the moment, the ‘clean’ makeup look, has taken TikTok and pretty much every other social media platform by storm.
A clean look involves glossy, minimalist makeup, giving the impression of being freshly showered and sun-kissed. The hair is often slicked back and neatly put up into a claw clip, and simple jewellery is placed wherever desired.
